Across the Healing Bundle

Calendula (Calendula officinalis)

A cornerstone herb for skin care, calendula is traditionally used to calm irritation, reduce inflammation and support tissue repair. Rich in flavonoids and triterpenes, it is especially valued for maintaining skin comfort and barrier integrity in delicate, damaged or reactive skin.

Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)

Traditionally used for wounds, bruises and irritated skin, comfrey contains allantoin and mucilage compounds that support tissue regeneration and soothe discomfort. Long associated with recovery and repair, it has a strong history of use where skin or connective tissue needs support.

Chamomile (Chamomilla recutita)

A gentle, calming herb traditionally used to ease redness, itching and sensitivity. Chamomile contains flavonoids such as apigenin that contribute to its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties, making it well suited to sensitive or reactive skin.

Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)

Traditionally revered for supporting skin repair and resilience. Gotu kola contains triterpenoid compounds studied for their role in collagen synthesis and wound healing, and is often used where skin integrity is compromised or slow to recover.

Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis)

Traditionally valued for its berberine content, goldenseal has been used in topical herbal preparations to support skin balance and integrity, particularly in areas prone to microbial imbalance or slow healing.

Coptis (Coptis chinensis)

A botanical relative of goldenseal, also rich in berberine alkaloids. Traditionally used in Chinese medicine to address heat and damp conditions, including minor skin irritations of microbial origin.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

Contains curcumin and related compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Traditionally used to support wound healing, tissue resilience and skin recovery.

Rosehip Oil (Rosa canina)

Naturally rich in essential fatty acids and provitamin A compounds, rosehip oil supports hydration, skin repair and improved texture, particularly in dry or compromised skin.

Zinc Oxide

Provides a physical protective barrier that helps shield compromised skin from moisture and irritation. Traditionally used to support wound healing by protecting the skin surface and supporting repair processes.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii)

A deeply nourishing emollient that restores suppleness, softens dry or cracked skin and reinforces the skin’s natural barrier.

Beeswax (Cera alba)

A traditional ointment base valued for its protective, softening and barrier-forming properties. Helps lock in moisture while allowing the skin to breathe, and contributes to product stability.

Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)

Used in low concentrations for its calming, gently antimicrobial properties and soft, soothing aroma.

Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)

A resin traditionally used for its protective and purifying qualities, particularly in preparations designed to support skin repair.

Sandalwood (Santalum spp.)

Valued for its calming and antiseptic properties, contributing both skin support and a warm, grounding aromatic note.

Organic Almond Oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis)

A gentle, nutrient-rich carrier oil high in oleic acid and vitamins A and E. Supports the skin barrier, softens dryness and is well suited to sensitive or delicate skin.

Organic Olive Oil (Olea europaea)

A nourishing, antioxidant-rich oil traditionally used to support skin resilience and repair. Helps soften dry skin and protect against moisture loss.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

A natural antioxidant that helps protect skin lipids from oxidative stress while supporting the stability and shelf life of the formulations.
