House of Herbs is a unique Tasmanian Certified Organic Skincare Range inspired by Tasmania's wilderness. Manufactured to the highest of integrity & quality control standards, there has been NO compromise in the integrity of its ingredients & its methodology of formulation. In fact the main volume ingredients are sourced from a biodynamic ACO certified farm located in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. This farm is surrounded on three sides by World Heritage National Parks.
This range has been 12 years in the making and has been the life long dream of Peter and Sally Blythe who started the House of Herbs 12 years ago in their home. Without wanting to release a certified range of skincare products until they had achieved a standard of formulation which not only matched main stream products and consumer expectation, but actually out-performed them in texture, feel and effectiveness.
This led to a very long and arduous road indeed. Peter and Sally, empowered only by their passion for all things organic, even negotiated with their bank at a time not to foreclose on their house by selling them the dream.
A few years later, their big break came when AusIndustry awarded them
a Federal Government R&D Grant into the further development of certified organic formulation. Three years later they were able to scale up their laboratory findings to commercialize this range. The result is this brand new House of Herbs range!
The House of Herbs is manufactured in Tasmania, Australia. The new state of the art factory and laboratory, which is based in the Tasmanian Techno Park, is powered by Hydro electric and wind power, thus not unduly adding to carbon levels in the atmosphere.
All its packaginghas been chosen for its function and its ability to help preserve the product without the use of toxic chemicals. The use of outer individual cardboard packaging has been discarded as an unnecessary waist and burden on the environment.
Believed to be the first Australian ACO Certified Organic skincare range in its class, all House of Herbs customers can be reassured the entire range of House of Herbs skincare products are ACO certified with each product carrying the ACO logo and processor number.
